The basics
- What is a digital twin of a person?
- A private AI model of one real person: how they think, speak, decide, and remember. They build it, they own it, and they control who ever gets access.
- How is Sona different from ChatGPT or a normal chatbot?
- ChatGPT answers like a helpful stranger, because it was trained on everyone. Your twin answers like you, because it was trained on you. And it has to pass the recognition test: someone who knows you well, in a blind chat, cannot tell you apart.
- How is Sona different from Character.AI or Replika?
- Those are companions you chat with. Sona is a twin of one real person, and it acts for you: it drafts, it advises, it stands in for you. Built on consent, measured likeness, and quantum-safe security.
- Is a digital twin a deepfake?
- No. You can only make a twin of yourself, as a verified person, and everything it produces is signed and labeled as a Sona twin. That is the opposite of a deepfake.
Building and using your twin
- How do I create an AI version of myself?
- You talk to Sona for a few short sessions and connect whatever material you choose to share. It learns your style, your values, and your story, and becomes a twin you can message today and call later.
- How long does it take?
- A useful text twin starts working in your first few sessions, and it keeps getting closer the more you talk to it.
- Can my twin act on my behalf?
- Yes, within limits you set. It assists first, asks before acting, and logs every action.
Ownership, privacy, security
- Who owns my data?
- You do. We never sell it, and we do not use it to train anything shared. You can export or delete your twin at any time.
- How is my twin protected from quantum computers?
- With post-quantum encryption built on all three NIST standards, ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA: a lock designed to resist even future quantum machines.
- Can I delete my twin?
- Yes, permanently, in one tap.
Memory, legacy, ethics
- Is Sona resurrection of the dead?
- No. Sona is for the living. Preserving or passing on a twin is an option the owner controls, with consent and care built in.
- Can I preserve my parent's voice and stories?
- Yes, with their consent. They build their own twin and you can sit with them while they do it, and it keeps their voice and their stories close.
- What happens to my twin after I die?
- Only what you decided in advance. Inheritance happens on your terms, with verification and family governance.
Link, Neural, and what is next
- Is Sona Link a real product I can buy?
- Not yet. Link is in active development. The twin you create today is what will live in Link - so the best way to prepare is to start building your twin now. Join the waitlist to be first in line.
- Will Sona put a chip in my brain?
- No. Sona Neural is a research direction, not a product. We are exploring non-invasive interfaces and partnerships with established brain-computer interface pioneers. Anything in this direction will follow medical-grade standards, regulation, and - as always - your explicit consent.
- Why build hardware at all?
- Because a twin you have to open an app for is a tool; a twin that is simply with you is a companion. Hardware is how your twin earns a place in your day, not just your phone.
- Will my twin work outside the Sona app?
- That is the plan. Sona OS is our platform stage: a Persona API and SDK that put your twin inside the mail, CRM, and messengers you already use, strictly under the rules you set in your Consent Registry. Plus a Skill Store of new abilities, from us and from third-party developers.
